Week 3: "Precious" being Precious

Bicep Size: 36.4cm

 

This week kicked off with a bang, focusing on defense tactics - blocks, parries, guards, you name it.

It's quite the sensation to feel someone itching to punch you in the face and actually knowing how to block it! (Rather than trembling like a leaf in the wind.)

My momentum was rudely interrupted when, having the butter fingers that I do, I clumsily dropped a 10kg weight on my foot at the gym. My dreams quickly filled with running and skipping, a distant memory now that walking was out of the question for a few days...

The silver lining? It happened right before the Easter long weekend which meant the perfect excuse to indulge in a Rocky Marathon! From Rocky I to Rocky III, I punched through them all.

Upper body workouts were the only thing on the menu, though I would've much preferred perfecting the art of defending my money-maker (aka my face) to ensure it stays camera-ready for my post-match interview on fight night.
